Hey there! I'm Alice Ipekci and I'm a CG animator from New Jersey. I'm a graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design's Computer Animation major.

The purpose that art serves in my vision of a more just and equitable society comes down to the concept of representation in the media. Though there has been a lot of progress since the beginning of animation in terms of proper cultural portrayals in the field, representation can always be pushed further to give everyone from different cultures a chance to be expressed in media.
I want to do my part as a mixed-raced person myself to contribute to animations that help give under-represented people the sense of relief and pride that is felt when a child sees someone who looks and lives like themselves on a big screen.
For two years in school, I was the co-president of the Ringling Digital Paint and Sketch Club, a club that hosts talks with professional artists of varying fields to give an insight into their industry experiences with Ringling's students. As well as being one of the presidents leading the discussion during the club's talks, I also am responsible for reaching out to the artists and planning the details of the talks with them via email, social media, etc.

Aside from drawing, I love hamsters, birds, singing, and listening to indie music.
